02/03/11 - G'Day John,
As the owner of a small business, I tend to give return custom and recommend to colleges, companies that:
- Have excellent products
- Offer value for money
- Limit my down time
I first came in contact with C.V.S.S. when I saw one of your vehicles in traffic. After doing some research I discovered that you had a very good name in the industry & that your product eg "Load Helper Spring Kit", would solve my problem of sag under load in my 200 series Hiace. While these were installed, the original rear shocks, which only had 11 000klms on them, were also replaced with your product HC5013. Don the installer mentioned in passing that they had a "Lifetime" warranty, something that I dismissed at the time thinking that he was trying to ease my mind after he had replaced a perfectly good working set, with some that cost 40% more than others.
I noticed straight away that the ride quality was dramatically improved, especially with 1 tonne in the back.
End of story or so I thought.
Fast forward 2 1/2 years and 170 000klms latter, my left rear shock was weeping and apparent that it had blown out. After calling John and briefly conversing with him to confirm wether or not they did indeed have a "lifetime" warranty, for what I thought was a consumable item, I was informed to bring in the original receipt & yes they were. Brilliant.
Found the original Tax Invoice and dropped in to see John in Underwood to arrange a suitable time to get the shocks replaced. Surprisingly, John mentioned that if I wait 10 minutes he would replace the old shock then and there and I would be on the road in 1/2 an hour. Win, win. After inquiring as to wether you had suitable front shocks on your shelf, (mine were still original with 180 000 klms on them and had been completely shagged), I was informed that yes you did and that these could be fitted after the rear was replaced. Once more I annoyed John with another question about a 50 mm sag on drivers side, to which you replied that a 10 minute measure and adjust on front torsion bar would solve this and that yes this would also be done after the front shocks and free of charge.
So on this particular Thursday afternoon in the space of 1 hour and 15 minutes, I had a replaced shock under warranty, 2 new front shocks and a level and neutral steering van, just walking in off the street. I now have a van with 180 000 klms, that drives far better now then when it was new.
Why buy cheap products that need replacing 3 or 4 times, from discount auto shops, when for a few more $'s you can get quality componentary that really does the job and goes the distance. This in itself speaks volumes, but to also have this level of service in this day and age is just extraordinary.
I have absolutely no hesitation in referring you and your products to associates and colleges, as you truly are a man of your word.
